Terms of Use

1. General

Vandal is an app where friends draw on each other’s phone wallpapers. The service is provided by the Vandal app team (“we”, “us”).

By installing the app or creating an account, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.

2. Account

• You need an account to use Vandal: a nickname and a password. An email address is optional and is only used to reset your password.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Vandal. If you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done from your account.
• One person, one account. You may not pretend to be someone else.

3. How the service works

• Only users you have added as friends can draw on your wallpaper.
• A friend’s drawing is placed over the background you chose and set as your device’s wallpaper.
• At any time you can remove the last drawing, clear your wallpaper, remove someone from your friends or block them.
• On iPhone, the wallpaper is set by Apple’s Shortcuts app. How it works depends on your iOS version and settings, and we cannot guarantee that it will not change after updates.

4. Rules for drawings and photos

You may not send content that:

• breaks the law or violates other people’s rights;
• contains pornography, violence or cruelty;
• humiliates, intimidates or bullies anyone;
• discloses other people’s personal data;
• is advertising or spam;
• uses other people’s images or trademarks without permission.

5. Moderation

• Photos in drawings and avatars are checked automatically.
• You can report any drawing or profile right in the app.
• If the rules are broken, we may remove content, limit features or block the account.

6. Rights to content

• The drawings and photos you create remain yours.
• You allow us to store and process them and to show them to you and to the friends you sent them to. We need this only to run the service.
• We do not use your drawings in advertising without your consent.

7. Vandal Plus subscription

• Some features are available with a paid subscription. The price and the period are shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment goes through the App Store or Google Play. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it.
• You can cancel the subscription in your app store settings at least 24 hours before the end of the paid period.
• Refunds follow the rules of the store you paid through. See the Refund Policy for details.
• In Russia, the subscription can also be paid for on vandalapp.com by card or via SBP (the Faster Payments System). This is a one-time payment for 12 months without auto-renewal; its terms are set out in the public offer (in Russian).

8. Liability

• The service is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it running smoothly but do not guarantee it.
• We are not responsible for the content of drawings sent by users or for the consequences of them appearing on your screen.
• To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription over the last 12 months.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app settings. Your profile, drawings and friends list are deleted with it.

We may end your access to the service for serious or repeated violations of these terms.

10. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. We will tell you about significant changes in the app. If you keep using Vandal after the changes, you accept them.

11. Governing law and contacts

These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. If you have any questions, contact us in any way that suits you.
